“Bread, Love and Dreams” depicts a young man, Kim Tak-gu’s journey to become the best baker in the field getting over all kinds of hardships in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Kim Tak-gu (Yoon Si-yoon)
He lives by loyalty and will die by loyalty. He has a certain charm which moves people’s mind with his simplicity and honesty.
At the age of 12, he learns that he is a son of Gu Il-jung, who is the legendary baker and the president of Geoseong Foods, when he goes to a palatial house with his mother. For the first time, he meets his father, his father’s legal wife, and a stepbrother in there.
As the family has a few offspring, he is almost designated as a successor, but he ends up being kicked out of the family. Since then, he goes through all kinds of hardships and difficulties, and then he meets Pal-bong, who is a descendant of Gaeseong merchants as well as the hidden godfather in the bakers’ world, and he learns morality of a baker and also of a merchant.

Gu Ma-jun (Ju Won)
Although he is the Geoseong family’s legitimate son, he is ousted of the successor’s position because of Tak-gu. As he is stricken with a victim mentality towards Tak-gu who is the spitting image of his father, he makes Tak-gu’s life misery. While doing it, he also drives himself to a collapse.

Yang Mi-sun (Lee Young-ah)
Mi-sun is a granddaughter of Pal-bong and has the perfect palate. She is passionate, emotional, and smart, but she has too much pride so that she never shows her flaws to others. Although she works at a rural bakery now, she dreams of becoming a glamorous patissier in Paris.
At the beginning, Tak-gu is her rival, and then she walks a fine line between success and love. Finally, she chooses love and becomes the most important person to Tak-gu.

Shin Yoo-gyung (Yoo Jin)
Yoo-gyung is Tak-gu’s first love. Although she is smart, intelligent, and beautiful, she has grown up in poverty and continuous violence.
Tak-gu has been the only person who has given her comfort, and she truly loves him, but she chooses money over love due to her ambition. However, she gradually turns into an evil woman through her unhappy marriage.

电视剧《面包大王》讲述了从70年代到80年代主人公金桌求跨越艰难环境,最终成为面包界第一人的故事。

金桌求（尹时允 饰）
他是一个非常明理的人,以纯粹和正直的性格感动着他人,极其富有魅力。
他在12岁时,得知自己是具日重的亲子,具日重是韩国第一家面包公司-巨星食品的老板。他跟妈妈来到了一座像皇宫一样的住宅，这里就是具日重的家。在这里他见到了亲生父亲具日重,具日重的妻子和自己的兄弟。
他在那个家里备受冷落,虽然经过迂回曲折,得以承继父业,但是却因遭人陷害而一败涂地,最终不得不离开那个家。他在创业过程中遇到了许多困难和挑战。有一天金桌求遇到了开成商人的后代-面包界“大师”八峰先生,从他的身上,金桌求学到了作为面包师的“道”和作为商人的“道”。

具马准 （朱元 饰）
虽然他是巨星食品的嫡子,但却因为桌求,失去了继承父业的机会。面对着与父亲极其相似的桌求,使他产生了一种受害意识,故而想方设法地要把桌求推入痛苦的深渊。但是自己却反而也身受其害。他虽然作恶不断，但却是一个让人可悲可叹的人物。

杨美顺（李英雅 饰）
她是八峰先生的小孙女,有着绝对的味觉。她充满热情,感情丰富,聪明伶俐,但是自尊心太强,不想让别人看到自己的缺点。虽然在农村的小面包店里工作,但却梦想有朝一日能够到美丽的巴黎工作。
她与桌求处于竞争关系,后来却爱上了他,在面对感情和成功的抉择之间,她最终选择了爱情。

申柳炅（柳真饰）
她是桌求的初恋,是一个聪慧漂亮的女人。但是因家境困难和家庭暴力,在痛苦中成长起来。
虽然她真心的爱着桌求,但却因自己的利益和野心而离他而去,选择了金钱和利益。后来因痛苦的婚姻生活,逐渐演变成了一个邪恶的女人。

‘製パン王キムㆍタック’は1970~80年代を背景に青年、キムㆍタックがあらゆる試練を乗り越えて製パン業界の第1人者に生まれかわる過程を描くドラマである。

キムㆍタック役　ユン ㆍ シユン
義理強いやつで単純で素直な点が人を感動させる優しい魅力を持っているやつ。
彼が製パン業界の伝説である巨星(コソン)食品のクㆍイルジュンの実子である事が分かるようになったのは彼が十二歳の時だった。訳も分からなく母に付いて行ったのが宮廷みたいな巨星家の本宅だった。その場で初めてお父さんという人に出会ったしお父さんの本妻と異母兄弟たちに出会うことになる。
子孫が少ない家で紆余曲折のあげく跡継ぎになれるつもりだったが策謀によってならず、家から追い出されたあと下積みの苦労といろんな逆境と試練に追い込まれる日々が続く。。。そんな中、開城(ケソン)商人の後裔と同時に製パン業界の隠れているゴッドファ―ザ―である八峰(パルボン)先生に出会って製パン師としての道と商人としての道を伝授してもらうことになるが。。。

クㆍマジュン役　ジュウォン
巨星(コソン)家の嫡子でありながらタックのせいで跡継ぎから押し出された次男。お父さんそっくりのタックに耐えきれない被害意識を抱くようになり、どうしても彼を踏みつけようとして最後までタックを不幸に追い込まれていく。そうするうちに自らも破局に走り上げる不良だが悲しい悪役である。

ヤンㆍミスン役　イㆍ ヨンア
八峰先生の孫娘で絶対味覚の持ち主。熱情的で感情も豊かで頭も良いがプライドが強すぎて人の前で決して自分の短所を見せない。今は田舍で製パンの仕事をしているが華やかなブーランジェリーを夢見る。
始めはタックとはライバル同士だったが、出世と愛の間で危ない秤をかけたりするが結局愛を選ぶ。タックにとって最も大事な人になる。

シンㆍユギョン役　ユジン
タックの初恋の人。聡くて賢くて、学校でクイーンに選ばれるほど美しい外貌の持ち主だが極度の貧乏と絶え間ない暴力の悪循環の中に生まれ育てられた。
彼女は自分にとって唯一に息をすることができる酸素みたいな存在だったタックのことを心より愛するが自分の野心のため愛を裏切ってお金を選ぶことになる。しかし不幸な結婚生活をするようになり、ますますどうすることもできない悪女に変わっていく。
