KBS drama <Uncontrollably Fond> is the story of the ill-fated breakup of Joonyoung, and No Eul who had an unrequited love for him when they were young. In adulthood, the pair ends up meeting again as an audacious Korean pop star and an obsequious and materialistic documentary producer. As No Eul films the documentary on Joonyoung, they come to know each other's pasts and discover things that have changed about each other, giving rise to the beginning of a passionate relationship.

The biggest Korean star of this generation, famous for both acting and singing, he is as tough as he looks and a little bit overwhelming. Becoming a celebrity wasn't his original dream, but something happened to him 5 years ago and his life was completely transformed. After being a celebrity for five years, he once again meets No Eul, the girl he wanted to forget so badly, when she comes to do a documentary on him.

No Eul is a brazen and materialistic documentary producer. She wasn't always that way. However, her life was turned diametrically around by two accidents. Since then, she began to lower her head to people of authority, wealth and influence, and lived her life as a coward. She lives like this until the age of 28 when she once again meet top star, Joonyoung.

Lim Ju-hwan as Choi Ji-tae
Jitae has got the looks, the talent, the background, and the personality. His feelings for No Eul at first were pity and guilt. But as he hangs around Eul while hiding his true identity, he finds himself falling in love with her, which he is also careful to conceal. But then Joonyoung comes back into No Eul's life. He feels that Joonyoung is even less deserving of Eul’s attention than he is.

A Daughter of influential presidential candidate Yon Seongho, ends up being involved in a hit-and-run while drunk driving when she was 20.
